Dear ETP Friends,

As many of you know already I returned to Tokyo on a new EU assignment last September after a 5-year term in Beijing, China. Meanwhile responsibility for a number of projects in Japan was also transferred to my custody including ETP. 

As was already the case during my first Japan stint I've been receiving requests from executive search firms in the Asia Pacific region, aiming to fill positions there for which often ETP alumni possess highly relevant skills. Since I consider it important the the EU investment in programmes such as ETP and its Chinese counterpart METP is leveraged to the largest extent possible I will make sure to pass on requests of this kind to the ETP Japan community. The first one landed in my inbox just before Christmas:

- international background and experience, fluent in Japanese and English 
- experience of wholesale/retail in fashion business in Japan 
- sales driven, could be a current n°2 of the company, Sales or Retail Director 
- excellent knowledge of Japanese fashion distribution (department stores, retailers, new channels...)
